After a brilliant (though ridiculously windy) days racing at Silverstone, I feel it was a really pretty good introduction into endurance racing for my colleague who is beginning to learn about the wonders of life outside F1. The top three 20 seconds apart, and 1 from each of the manufacturers on the podium certainly made for an awesome LMP1 race.
The GTE battle was pretty hard fought, with AF corse battling to the flag against each other, which was great, though a little bittersweet as the Astons had qualified 1-2-3 but seemed to fall away during the race. Personal favourite car had to be the Larbre Corvette C7R. Very jealous of everyone stateside who gets to see this beast race more often in TUSSC (in Pratt & Miller form). Such an incredible noise, made the grandstands shake. I like...
Anyways, picture time:

Great shots!
Not a fan of the new AF Corse livery. Too busy. And really don't know why AMR would drop their iconic Gulf livery.

With 5 cars, there were still 3 in gulf livery, It made it alot easier to identify which one was charging towards you. But yes, Gulf Livery does take some beating, especially on an Aston.
And yeah, the AF Corse Pro liverys look much too busy. It feels like every year they go, 'oh theres a space here, lets put another sponsor there' and now here we are ha.

Simply tone down both the rear wing and the front splitter and BAM! C7 ZR1.
